How much will it cost?

It's impossible to give a cookie cutter price because each site is unique and customized to meet the needs of the business and its customers. You may want to include JavaScript for your navigational menu. You may need help scanning and editing your images and content. We feel it's very important to guide the customer through the whole process using a personal approach. Going online with your business can be very overwhelming and intimidating. That's why Technic Media will give whatever assistance is necessary.

Some companies have no online presence. They would need a site built from the ground up. Others may have a site that they are unhappy with or want to update. We can take the content from the original web site and place it into a professional looking design that will reflect what your goal is. Are you happy with the site you have now? Maybe you just want maintenance on your site. Technic Media offers maintenance contracts. These are just a few of the several scenarios that might arise.

Generally, a professional business web site with 5 or 6 pages can be built for under 1K.

How do I get started?

Once you contact Technic Media, we will gather initial information from you. This information will include:

• Your name and the name of your business
• Contact information: phone, address, etc.
• Description of your business
• Information about the clients you serve
• What you hope to portray through your web site.

These are just a few of the questions that we will go through. It's very important to get as much information as we can from the client so we will understand their ultimate goal. We then put together a contract including pricing and explanation of work to be done for you to sign. If you would like this contract explained in depth, we will make an appointment with you to do this. At the time of signing, 1/2 down of total payment is due. Technic Media will then begin the work to be done. When the site or work to be done is finished, you will be given a link to allow you time to review it and make any corrections or changes. Once you approve the site, the remainder of payment is due and the site is uploaded to your web space.

As mentioned above, you may purchase a maintenance contract or choose to use a by-the-job pricing. You may also purchase training, so that you can work on the web site yourself. These items are not covered under the initial contract.

What else can I expect?

Customized Web Design

• Your site will be built with your individual company in mind. 
• Custom style sheets will be used to keep your web site consistent in its design. 
• You can purchase a maintenance contract for monthly updates or pay for updates separately.
• You can purchase individual training of how to update your web site yourself.  

Domain Registration

• I will work with you on available names for your site and if necessary guide you through registering your domain.. 

Search Engine Submissions

• Along with submitting your site to the major search engines, I will work with you to get the best descriptions in the Meta Tags of your site to ensure you are found by your customers.

Browser Testing

• Your new Web site will be tested in Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox and Netscape to guarantee that all content can be read.

Email account for your business (includes Virus Scanning)

• When hosting with Technic Media, you will receive up to 5 free business email accounts. What a great way to receive feedback or requests from your customers!

Accessibility

• We validate our code against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines put forth by the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) to ensure your site is accessible and usable.
• Your web site is tested and will meet Priority 1 standards.

Disk Storage Space

• 50 - 100 MB or more of Disk Storage. If your site grows, this can grow too. 
• A link to your site from Technic Media. There will also be a short description. This provides you with free advertising.
